We are currently seeking experienced Machine Operators Extruder with a background in food manufacturing to join our clients in Rowville.

About You:

  • Minimum 1 year experience as a Machine Operator - Extruder in food manufacturing.
  • Skilled in operating the machine, filling, mixing, hopper and extruder machine
  • Knowledge of HACCP and quality standards
  • Strong English literacy and computer skills
  • A team player with good communication skills and a continuous improvement mindset
  • Quick to learn, adaptable, and proactive

Shift: Day shift - 6:00AM to 2:00PM

Kitchen Operator in food manufacturing

Operates food production machinery, prepares ingredients by mixing and measuring, performs quality checks to ensure food safety, cleans and sanitizes equipment, and maintains accurate production records

Key responsibilities include monitoring machinery settings, adhering to standard operating procedures, and complying with food safety and WHS standards to meet production goals.

Key Responsibilities:-

  • Machine Operation: Operate and monitor food processing machinery for tasks such as cooking, baking, mixing, and packaging.
  • Ingredient Preparation: Weigh, mix, stir, chop, and prepare ingredients according to recipes and production schedules.
  • Quality Control: Conduct product quality checks, monitor cooking processes, and ensure products meet company standards and food safety regulations.
  • Sanitation & Cleaning: Clean and sterilize work areas, equipment, and utensils to maintain hygiene and comply with food safety standards.
  • Record Keeping: Accurately record ingredient information, production data, and any necessary paperwork.

Extruder Operator in food manufacturing

Sets up, operates, and monitors extrusion equipment to produce food products by transforming raw materials into specified shapes

Responsibilities include adhering to food safety and quality standards, making machine adjustments for product quality and efficiency, performing routine maintenance and repairs, and documenting production and quality control data.

Key Responsibilities

  • Equipment Operation and Monitoring:

  • Set up and operate extrusion machinery according to work instructions and procedures.

  • Monitor and adjust controls for pressure, speed, temperature, and tension to ensure proper product formation and quality.

  • Observe equipment operation to maintain the continuous flow of raw materials and remove finished products.

  • Quality Control:

  • Ensure all formulas and products meet quality and food safety specifications.

  • Perform checks on product dimensions and quality, and take corrective actions to resolve issues.

  • Detect and report any contaminated or defective materials, or any unusual or faulty equipment conditions.

  • Safety and Maintenance:

  • Adhere to all safety rules, regulations, and personal protective equipment (PPE) requirements.

  • Perform basic maintenance and repairs on the extrusion line and related equipment.

  • Documentation:

  • Maintain accurate records of quality control checks, production numbers, and any adjustments or repairs made.
