We are seeking an experienced Business Analyst with strong expertise across cards, credit cards, and payment systems to join one of our reputable clients. This role is ideal for someone who has worked within banking or financial services, is highly proactive, and thrives in environments where they can take ownership, drive outcomes, and work autonomously. You will play a key role in shaping business requirements, supporting delivery teams, and contributing to major transformation programs across their financial products ecosystem.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end business analysis activities across card issuing, credit card processing, payments, and financial product capabilities.
- Conduct detailed requirements gathering sessions with business SMEs, product owners, technology teams, and operations.
- Translate complex business needs into clear, actionable requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
- Analyse card and payment system interactions, data flows, settlement processes, and integration points across multiple platforms.
- Work independently to drive conversations, initiate workshops, clarify requirements, and manage ambiguity with limited supervision.
- Partner with architects and engineers to support solution design for cloud, SaaS, or migration-related initiatives.
- Support system readiness activities including UAT planning, test case review, defect triage, and production validation.
- Contribute across multiple delivery components simultaneously, adapting quickly to shifting priorities.
- Build strong relationships with stakeholders across product, risk, compliance, operations, and technology.
Key Skills & Experience
We are looking for someone with:
- Strong experience in cards, payments, and financial services product systems (mandatory).
- Experience working in a banking or financial institution, ideally across multiple product domains.
- Solid understanding of complex system interactions, data flows, and integration dependencies.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently with minimal layers of support.
- A self-starter mindset with high energy, ownership, and proactive communication skills.
- Confidence interacting with senior stakeholders and driving requirements conversations.
- Experience supporting cloud transformation, SaaS platforms, platform uplift, or large-scale migration programs (highly beneficial).
- Hands-on experience with JIRA, Confluence, process mapping tools, and standard BA methodologies.
- Strong documentation skills (BRDs, user stories, process maps, data mapping, acceptance criteria).
