Citywide is recruiting for Head Gardeners, Qualified Gardeners and Assistant Gardeners to work within our prestigious open space contract in Melbourne's CBD, maintaining some of the City's most iconic parks and gardens.

  • Depots across the CBD
  • Monday to Friday 7am to 3.06pm

Responsibilities of the roles include but are not limited to:

  • Plant selection
  • General garden bed maintenance
  • Mulching
  • Formative Pruning
  • Weeding
  • Watering and irrigation maintenance
  • Operate and maintain various horticultural machinery

Skills and experience required:

  • Previous relevant experience in a similar role
  • Cert 3 or Cert 4 in Horticulture or equivalent (Desirable)
  • MR Licence (Desirable)
  • Current Victorian Drivers Licence
  • Knowledge of herbicide application techniques (Desirable)
  • Traffic Management experience (Desirable)
  • First Aid (Desirable)
  • Cert 3 Chemical User
  • Disease and Pest Control Identification Certificate (Desirable)
  • Excellent work ethic
  • Team player
  • Motivated
  • Good communication skills
  • Focus on safety of self and others
