About The Role
As Corporate Finance Manager, you'll lead a dynamic team comprising the Corporate Finance, Payroll, and Transactional Services functions. This pivotal role oversees Capricorn Group's financial statutory reporting, investment reporting, banking relationships, tax advisory, payroll, transactional services, and financial risk management.
You'll be instrumental in driving continuous improvement across finance operations, championing automation, and strengthening the control environment. This is a fantastic opportunity for a strategic finance leader who thrives in a collaborative, fast-paced environment and is passionate about delivering excellence.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the Corporate Finance, Payroll, and Transactional Services teams
- Oversee statutory financial reporting and investment reporting for the Group
- Manage core banking relationships and provide tax advisory support
- Drive initiatives to streamline and automate finance processes
- Enhance financial controls and risk management frameworks
What You'll Bring
Skills & Knowledge
- Deep expertise in AASB statutory reporting and income tax legislation
- Strong commercial acumen with the ability to translate financial insights into business improvements
- Familiarity with New Zealand accounting and tax frameworks (desirable but not essential)
- Advanced proficiency in MS Office (especially Excel) and ERP systems
Experience
- 7–10 years post-qualification experience in a similar finance leadership role
- Proven track record in managing and developing high-performing teams
Qualifications
- CA or CPA qualified
- Degree in Commerce, Business, or a related field
