About the Role:

The Finance Manager role is within the Financial Planning & Performance team (Australia Business),and leads the business partnering team responsible for supporting the North West Shelf (NWS).

Finance roles within Australian Business assist in the delivery and analysis of financial results and metrics which enable the Australian Business team to protect and grow value for Woodside, consistent with our corporate values.

Duties & Responsibilities:

As a member of the FP&P Australia Business lead team, the primary objective of this role is to provide leadership and business partnering support to the NWS Finance and Business lead teams. 

The role requires strong leadership skills, a commercial mindset, combined with strong technical (functional) experience and an ability to work collaboratively to support in the delivery of business objectives.

As the Finance Manager, you will be the key contact/support to the VP NWS and extended Asset leadership team, in addition to representing Woodside Finance in all NWS Joint Venture engagements and committee meetings.

Expectations of the role include:

  • Team Leader, with key activities including: coaching and development of team members, execution of core routines and deliverables.
  • Promoting a collaborative work environment with other Finance teams and business stakeholders to drive financial performance.
  • Provide decision-making support to the Leadership teams with regard to Financial performance, highlighting potential commercial opportunities and risks, JVP engagement and Asset strategy plans.
  • Performance Reporting & Analysis.
  • Planning, co-ordination and delivery of Corporate and Joint Venture Budgeting and Forecasting processes.
  • Lead and support in development and implementation of financial business process improvements.
  • Internal governance processes inclusive of accounting guidance (+key deliverables) and expenditure approval requirements (MOA/ IMF)
  • Contracting support inclusive financial due diligence and contract review
