About the role

This is a part-time Pharmacist (Aged Care) role with Nile Compounding Chemist in Arncliffe working alongside another pharmacist who will support you in your role. As a Pharmacist specialising in Aged Care, you will be responsible for providing high-quality pharmaceutical care to residents in aged care facilities. This is an excellent opportunity to make a meaningful impact on the lives of older adults while working in a collaborative, supportive environment.

What you'll be doing

  1. Reviewing and managing medication regimens for aged care residents
  2. Providing medication counselling and education to residents, their families, and aged care staff
  3. Collaborating with other healthcare professionals, such as GPs and nurses, to optimise patient care
  4. Ensuring compliance with relevant pharmacy and aged care regulations
  5. Maintaining accurate patient records and pharmacy stock levels
  6. Participating in quality improvement initiatives and continuing education programs

What we're looking for

  1. Registered Pharmacist with a valid AHPRA license
  2. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively liaise with residents, their families, and healthcare providers
  3. Strong clinical knowledge and decision-making skills to ensure safe and appropriate medication management
  4. Commitment to delivering high-quality, patient-centred care
  5. Adaptability and the ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team
