The role
Pragma is seeking an experienced Industrial Designer to join our team in Mulgrave, Victoria. As an Industrial Designer, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the design and development of signage and visual product solutions that solve our clients' problems.
Key responsibilities
- Design of signage, wayfinding and other visual products based on established brief from the ground up, considering user needs, manufacturing constraints, and aesthetic appeal
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including project managers, production team and engineers, to ensure documentation and information is to a standard suitable for manufacture and installation
- Create detailed technical drawings, 3D models, and prototypes to effectively communicate designs for manufacture
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends, materials, and manufacturing processes to inform your design decisions
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously, prioritising tasks and meeting deadlines
What we're looking for
- A bachelor's degree in Industrial Design or a related field
- Minimum 2 years of experience as an Industrial Designer
- Previous experience in sign/wayfinding design and a design for manufacture environment
- Strong proficiency in design software, such as Solidworks, Keyshot and Adobe Creative Suite
- Excellent problem-solving and critical thinking skills, with the ability to translate user needs into realistic design solutions
- Exceptional communication and collaboration skills
- An eye for detail and conceptually creative
