Headquartered in Keilor Park, the company is experiencing continued growth and is seeking an experienced In-House Lawyer to play a key role in supporting its expanding operations

The Opportunity

This is a newly created, hands-on role offering genuine variety and flexibility. You'll work directly with senior executives, HR, and operational leaders, providing practical legal support across the business.

The position is best suited to a commercially minded lawyer with a strong background in employment law and solid exposure to commercial contracting. You'll be involved in everything from Fair Work Commission matters and unfair dismissal claims to tender contract reviews, insurance, and risk management.

Key Responsibilities

Employment Law

Advise on all employment and workplace relations matters.

Represent the organisation before the Fair Work Commission for unfair dismissal and general protections matters.

Draft and update employment contracts, workplace policies, and procedures in line with the Fair Work Act, modern awards, and WHS legislation.

Partner with HR on investigations, disciplinary processes, and compliance initiatives.

Commercial & Tender Contracts

Review client contracts during tender processes, identifying legal, commercial, and insurance risks.

Draft, negotiate, and advise on service agreements, subcontractor contracts, and NDAs.

Support the business in achieving commercially sound outcomes while minimising risk.

Risk, Insurance & Governance

Manage public liability and insurance-related matters, liaising with brokers and external advisors.

Assist with dispute resolution and ensure governance and compliance obligations are met.

Contribute to risk management, modern slavery, and broader compliance frameworks.

About You

4–8 years' post-admission experience in employment and commercial law (private practice or in-house).

Confident handling Fair Work Commission matters and unfair dismissal claims.

Skilled in contract review and negotiation, particularly within tender and procurement contexts.

Exposure to public liability and insurance matters advantageous.

Hands-on, solutions-driven, and commercially astute.

Excellent communicator, comfortable engaging with senior management and operational teams.
