Where good people grow great futures
At Dairy Australia, we believe in growing great futures - that includes yours.
Here, you'll contribute to something bigger: the livelihoods of farmers, the sustainability of communities in dairy regions and the future of one of Australia's most vital industries.
Working alongside people whose knowledge and passion run deep, you'll love being part of a team where flexibility matters and support comes in abundance. What's more, we're as invested in your growth as we are in the industry's future.
Whether you're new to the industry or bring years of experience to the table, if you're after work that's practical, challenging and deeply connected to real outcomes, you'll find it at Dairy Australia.
Your opportunity
As our
People & Culture Advisor
you'll play a key role in delivering meaningful HR initiatives and supporting our people across every stage of the employee journey.
This is a varied and rewarding role where no two days are the same. You'll be a trusted advisor to managers and employees, helping to shape a great workplace culture while also leading exciting projects and contributing to continuous improvement.
This is a 12 month part time (3 days per week) Parental Leave contract
reporting to the General Manager – People & Culture.
You'll make an impact by:
- Providing day-to-day HR support and practical advice
across performance, employee relations, benefits, and compliance, working closely with managers to deliver people-focused solutions that reflect our values. You'll lead and improve onboarding and induction programs to create a positive, consistent employee experience from day one, while also helping to shape and communicate clear, accessible HR policies that support our culture.
- Supporting safety initiatives and driving continuous improvement
in collaboration with the WHS team. By reviewing WHS data and trends, you'll help implement practical solutions, while keeping systems and documentation accurate, up to date and effective.
- Leading and supporting HR projects
that positively impact our people and culture, bringing fresh ideas and creative thinking to drive continuous improvement. Working closely with the broader P&C team, you'll help deliver initiatives that align with our goals and make a meaningful difference.
- Supporting the optimisation of our HRIS
- in particular the implementation of our new performance management module, ensuring it aligns with organisational goals and enhances the employee experience. As a change champion, you'll drive system adoption through effective training, communication and stakeholder engagement, while continuously monitoring its effectiveness and user experience to deliver actionable insights and improvements.
What you'll bring
You're someone who naturally connects with people and feels energised by building strong relationships across the business. With a flexible approach and a willingness to roll up your sleeves, you're ready to jump in and make things happen.
To succeed in this role, you'll also need:
- Experience in a HR advisory or generalist role
- A solid understanding of employment law and HR best practices
- Great communication and problem-solving skills
- Relevant qualifications in Human Resources or a related field
Why Dairy Australia?
Are you a doer? Someone who isn't afraid to roll up their sleeves and make things happen? At Dairy Australia, you'll fit right in.
Here, you'll be surrounded by good people who are genuine, down to earth and as driven as you. Our people care – about the work, each other and doing what's right for the industry. You'll see this every day, whether you work in our Melbourne office or in any of our eight dairy regions across Australia.
We believe your best work happens when you're supported to thrive. That's why we focus on creating the right environment for you to make a meaningful impact while maintaining a genuine work-life balance.
What does this mean for you?
- Flexibility that works:
Find a better balance with hybrid working across our Southbank office and your home. Structure your work around what needs to get done - because we know your best work happens when life is in balance.
- Where good people grow:
You'll be part of a close-knit, high-performing team of grounded changemakers, where your expertise is valued and your professional growth is actively encouraged.
- Culture of innovation and care:
Here at DA, we're open to each other's ideas, we operate with integrity, and we're driven to find the best solutions for our employees and stakeholders - because we're all united by a common purpose.
Join us and help build great futures
