We are seeking a highly motivated and proactive Procurement Coordinator to join our team at Emu Plains, NSW. The Procurement Coordinator will be involved in effectively managing the procurement process from planning and sourcing to negotiation, purchasing, and vendor management.

  • Prepares instructions regarding purchasing systems and procedures.
  • Prepares and issues purchase orders and amendment notices
  • Expedites and track all purchase orders
  • Tracks international containers and expedites freight clearance
  • Liaises with the Quality Control Department and Suppliers regarding supplier non-conformances
  • Evaluate and Interface with vendors to negotiate pricing, evaluate vendor ability to produce product, provide good service and meet delivery requirements.
  • Prepares and issues purchase orders and change notices.
  • Oversees all activities related to procurement of a commodity, from intent to purchase through delivery of commodity.

The ideal candidate has at least 2 years experience supporting procurement operations within a fast-paced manufacturing and sales environment. You have strong time management, supplier communication, negotiation, and computer skills, along with a solid understanding of inventory and production requirements. You are punctual, highly organised, and detail-oriented, with a focus on ensuring timely and cost-effective purchasing to support both production and sales teams.
