About the role

KRT Contracting Pty Ltd is seeking a full-time Heavy Combination (HC) Driver to join our road transport team based in Hope Valley, Western Australia. This is a permanent, full-time role, offering a competitive salary and excellent benefits.

What you'll be doing

  • Transporting structural steel & oversize plate, delivering to a variety of customers across the wider Perth area - using extendable trailers on multi drop delivery runs
  • Load restraint and strapping / chaining experience is preferred
  • Conducting pre-start checks, reporting any vehicle issues, and coordinating maintenance as required
  • Providing excellent customer service and on-time, safe deliveries
  • Completing detailed trip logs and customer paperwork
  • Working Monday to Friday, no public holidays or weekends in our usual roster

What we're looking for

  • Current Heavy Combination (HC) driver's licence
  • Experience operating Heavy Combination vehicles with synchromesh gearbox (NO AUTO APPLICATIONS PLEASE)
  • Drivers Medical and Fatigue Management Cert required
  • Strong organisational and time management skills
  • Demonstrated safe driving record and commitment to road safety
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Reliable and enthusiastic worker - we are a small family business looking for someone to enhance our busy team
