Business Development Manager – Queensland

The role
You will be the lead business development driver for in Queensland. Your primary goal is to target medium-to-large enterprises, win new clients, and manage the full customer lifecycle (from lead to onboarding to account management). You will build and own your pipeline, leverage your network, and be accountable for hitting revenue targets in the QLD region.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify, engage, and close deals with medium and large enterprises (corporates, franchise groups, retailers, service providers) in QLD
- Build, maintain, and grow a sales pipeline through cold outreach, referrals, network leverage, events, industry associations, and strategic partnerships
- Run end-to-end sales cycles: prospecting, qualification, proposal, negotiation, closing
- Oversee onboarding, integration, and implementation of new clients (ensuring a smooth handoff with operations/technical teams)
- Act as the client's trusted advisor — manage relationships, ensure retention, upsell and expand usage over time
- Collaborate with internal teams (product, marketing, operations, finance) to configure solutions that meet client needs
- Provide feedback from market to product/strategy, identify industry trends, competitive intelligence
- Achieve or exceed assigned revenue and growth targets (monthly/quarterly/annual)
- Track forecasting, sales metrics, pipeline health, and reporting in CRM
About you
- Proven track record in B2B / enterprise sales (ideally in fintech, payments, SaaS, loyalty/rewards or financial services)
- Experience selling into medium to large businesses / complex deals
- Strong existing network or relationships in QLD across relevant industries (or ability to quickly develop one)
- Ability to build and manage your own pipeline (self-starter mentality)
- Experience handling full sales cycle — from prospecting to close and onboarding
- Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills
- Strong commercial acumen; ability to understand and articulate ROI, cost savings, value propositions
- Comfortable working in a fast-moving startup / scale-up environment
- Goal-oriented and metrics-driven
