Locally family-owned and operated for over 50 years, Max Stocks provides more than 5000 fresh, frozen, and dry quality food service products to hotels, resorts, supermarkets, restaurants, hospitals, aged care, schools, takeaways, cafes and more. Proudly servicing Queensland communities, Max Stocks employs more than 100 passionate people who are dedicated to delivering excellent service to our customers, and now, due to our continued growth, we are excited to be adding Rockhampton to our established branch locations in Cairns and Townsville

We are seeking expressions of interest from motivated and experienced Sales Representatives to join our new Rocky team. Forming a key part of this exciting expansion project, you will play a key role in achieving our commercial objectives through proactive management of existing customer relationships whilst actively seeking new business opportunities to grow our footprint.

What you'll be doing

  • Achieve KPI's through servicing and maintaining an existing customer base, while proactively identifying and pursuing new business opportunities.
  • Present and promote Max Stocks outstanding portfolio of products and special offers.
  • Build strong customer relationships, including taking orders and resolving enquiries and issues.
  • Stay informed about industry trends and foster a reputation for excellence.
  • Work positively and co-operatively as part of a geographically dispersed sales team, and with other key internal stakeholders including customer service and accounts departments.

What we are looking for

  • Previous experience in a sales capacity within the food or FMCG industries.
  • Strong commercial judgement and the ability to negotiate and secure profitable sales.
  • A positive attitude, great work ethic, and a friendly yet professional approach.
  • Strong self-motivation with the ability to effectively manage your time and work autonomously.
  • A current C-class Queensland drivers' licence.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in IT applications including Microsoft Office.
  • Professional self-presentation.
  • A passion for food and the food service industry.
  • A comprehensive understanding of the Rockhampton food service market will be highly regarded.
