We are currently seeking motivated and experienced Mechanical Fitters with maintenance turnaround/shutdown experience. This is for a short-term position as part of our team supporting the upcoming 2025 Ampol Shutdown, commencing on approx. 6th August for approx. 5-6 weeks.

This is a good short-term opportunity to earn EXCELLENT RATES , while still being based at home.

As this is a Brisbane-based role, locally based applicants are preferred at this time, however, consideration will be given to those living outside of Southeast Queensland with the required skill set and experience.

Applicants must have full work rights in Australia to be considered for the role.

  • Demonstrable strong commitment to safety
  • Enjoy working in a team environment and self-motivated
  • Ability to work autonomously when required, while taking ownership of the role.
  • Trade qualified and working within a heavy industry environment for at least 5 years
  • Previous Shutdown/T&I experience is a definite advantage
  • You will have proven maintenance experience in heavy industry environments
  • Flange management, Hydrotesting, Valve and pipe installation experience required
  • You must have in-date current Working at Heights and Confined Space tickets to work on the Shutdown – validity 3 years from date of issue, not expiring before 30 September 2025
  • Penalty rates apply
  • Must be available for a Wood medical ASAP , after providing the required tickets.
