International Operations Manager – Modular Construction

As we expand into overseas manufacturing, we're seeking a hands-on Operations Manager to oversee our international production and ensure the seamless execution of projects from design to completion.

This is a unique opportunity to lead a growing overseas team and drive production excellence in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.


The Role

Reporting to the MGDD Head Office in Australia, you will coordinate all aspects of our overseas manufacturing operations — ensuring our products are built to Australian standards and delivered on time, every time.

Your key responsibilities will include:

Factory & Project Management

  • Oversee manufacturing performance and delivery schedules.
  • Ensure production meets Australian standards in collaboration with the design and MEP teams.
  • Drive continuous improvement in buildability, durability, and efficiency.
  • Manage the QA/QC team (10 staff) and ensure accurate reporting to head office.
  • Liaise between the manufacturing team, design team, and overseas country managers.
  • Coordinate with third-party labs for required tests and certifications.

Design Management

  • Review and integrate MGDD design documentation with overseas teams.
  • Ensure all work aligns with Australian quality and compliance requirements.
  • Research and implement alternative materials for modular construction in corrosive environments.
  • Manage and communicate design revisions efficiently.

Logistics & Coordination

  • Develop and manage logistics and procurement schedules.
  • Prepare clear handover documentation and installation guidelines.
  • Liaise with MGDD Procurement Officer to ensure material flow and timing.

About You

You're an experienced operational leader with a strong understanding of modular building and a passion for delivering top-quality results.

You will also have:

  • Minimum 5 years' experience as an Operations or Production Manager in modular construction.
  • Proven ability to manage teams and projects in a non-English speaking environment ( with translation assistance)
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and SharePoint (Revit knowledge is a plus).
  • Willingness to work on a 6-week on / 2-week off rotation in Asia, with remote work follow-up.
  • Strong communication and leadership skills, with a focus on quality and innovation.
