What we are looking for:Are you passionate about quality in early childhood education? We are inviting a Communication and Engagement Advisor to join the Publicity and Engagement team. In this newly created role, you will use your specialist skills to share the true values, achievements and potential of one of Australia's largest quality early education and care providers.

This position will allow an experienced, enthusiastic and capable communication and engagement specialist to work on a wide range of campaigns and projects. You'll be working with people who go above and beyond every day, for the people of Affinity, and the children we are here to support.

The role:

  • You will be responsible for operating in accordance with the AEG brand promise of realising the potential in everyone

  • Support weekly delivery schedule of communication milestones including national zoom calls, newsletter updates and employee messages

  • Develop and oversee execution of local and centre-based positive publicity opportunities

  • Oversee and support implementation of strategies and initiatives which enhance the careers and experience of Affinity's employees

  • Support project initiatives including admin, research, planning, concepts, management and reporting.

  • Work closely with stakeholders to source and publish a schedule of positive stories published on Affinity's channels

  • As required, support, plan and deliver brand activations including but not limited to events, expos and other initiatives to support Affinity's true brand values

  • Manage Meltwater membership for media monitoring, alerts and newsletters

  • With our centre-based teams and other stakeholders, co-design and manage positive communication and engagement strategies including but not limited to charity or special events such as our annual Affinity Awards

  • Support Affinity's centre and operational teams as required

Qualifications, skills and experience you'll need to be successful:

  • High care factor – you always put in the effort to make a positive impact

  • Strategic approach to identifying the opportunities in any situation and Great listener – able to capture a brief and present it back to management

  • Graphic design experience using Canva for posters, flyers, social media assets and other purposes

  • Excellent documentation for campaigns, processes and other business priorities and Excellent writing and editing skills

  • Experience identifying and presenting positive stories to media

  • Writing press releases, speeches, creating presentations and paid media management experience
