The Role:

As Procurement Manager, you'll lead procurement strategy across both direct and indirect categories, with a particular focus on agricultural inputs, packaging, and logistics. This is a hybrid role combining strategic procurement leadership with operational oversight, based in the South Eastern suburbs (3-4 days office-based).

Key responsibilities:

  • Drive strategic sourcing initiatives across key categories including dairy, citrus, packaging, and freight
  • Manage critical supplier relationships, particularly in the agricultural sector
  • Lead and develop the existing purchasing team
  • Optimize the cost base while ensuring supply security
  • Oversee contract management and negotiation
  • Collaborate with NZ and Asian operations centres

  • Agricultural products (milk, citrus, fresh produce)
  • Packaging materials and equipment
  • Domestic and international freight
  • Broad scope of indirect spend

About You:

  • Strong commercial acumen and negotiation skills, with demonstrated ability to lead high stakes, high value negotiations
  • Experience in FMCG, agricultural, or related industries
  • Ability to operate both strategically and tactically
  • Excellence in stakeholder management across all levels
  • Leadership capability with a focus on team development
  • Adaptability to work effectively in a mid-sized, high-growth environment
