THE ROLE:

Boardwalk Social in Cairns isn't your average venue — it's a buzzing hive of activity where live music, sport, and next-level pub food come together under one roof. We're the go-to for everything from family feasts and big birthdays to casual drinks and Sunday sessions, and we're searching for a Venue Manager who's ready to lead the charge.

In this role, you will be responsible for:

• Leading service and driving incredible customer experiences across the venue
• Venue cost control, rostering and wage management
• Managing a passionate team by providing ongoing development, training and feedback
• Managing schedules, staffing levels, and recruitment to make sure we're well-manned no matter the covers
• Collaborating closely with our Kitchen team
• Monitoring and maintaining high standards of food quality, hygiene, and safety in compliance with health regulations and liquor licencing
• Collaborating with our marketing teams to drive volume through activations, events and promotions

ABOUT YOU:

We're on the hunt for someone who knows how to run a high-volume venue with energy and style. To be successful with this role, you will be able to demonstrate that:

• You're all about delivering a fantastic guest experience — making people feel welcome comes naturally to you.
• You have highly developed food and beverage experience (previous experience working in high-volume venues preferred)
• You're curious, creative, and super organised and always on the lookout for new ideas and ways to level things up.
• You've got a sharp business mind. From boosting revenue to smashing targets, you're all about results and running a tight ship.
• You lead from the front, bring the energy, and know how to rally a passionate and motivated team.
• You have experience with rostering, identifying trends, working across recruitment and training.
• Managing strong legislative and WHS controls comes naturally to you
