Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced Venue Manager to lead our high-volume venue, Boardwalk Social in Cairns. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional customer experiences, managing venue operations, and leading a passionate team.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Leading service and driving incredible customer experiences across the venue
  • Venue cost control, rostering and wage management
  • Managing a passionate team by providing ongoing development, training and feedback
  • Managing schedules, staffing levels, and recruitment to make sure we're well-manned no matter the covers
  • Collaborating closely with our Kitchen team
  • Monitoring and maintaining high standards of food quality, hygiene, and safety in compliance with health regulations and liquor licencing
  • Collaborating with our marketing teams to drive volume through activations, events and promotions
Required Skills and Qualifications:

To be successful in this role, you will need to demonstrate:

  • A strong track record in delivering exceptional customer experiences
  • Highly developed food and beverage experience, preferably in high-volume venues
  • Creativity, organisation, and a passion for innovation
  • A sharp business mind, with a focus on results and efficiency
  • Leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team
  • Experience with rostering, trend analysis, recruitment, and training
  • Strong legislative and WHS controls knowledge
