About this Role:

We are excited to welcome a dynamic and creative individual to our team, eager to uncover and inspire business development opportunities within the NDIS framework. As a Business Development Manager, you will be a catalyst for change, empowering our business units to reach new heights.

You will leverage your existing connections with Support Coordinators and integrate them with our established internal relationships to foster new collaborations. By working closely with a network of disability service providers, you will enhance the understanding and awareness of our services, driving greater engagement and inclusion for NDIS participants and individuals with disabilities. This role is pivotal in expanding our reach and enriching our service provisions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Drive sustainable growth by generating new business revenue through proactive outreach and strategic negotiations with both warm and cold prospects.
  • Cultivate new connections by engaging with other service providers to build strong relationships, establish business agreements, and convert leads into lasting relationships.
  • Build community networks by developing and maintaining a robust local referral network founded on mutual respect and confidence within our designated regions.
  • Tailor participants solutions by assessing participant needs and expertly recommending the most relevant NDIS services offered by I-HDS, providing clear and insightful guidance for the overall service success for the participant.
  • Achieve excellence by striving to meet and exceed set targets as per key performance indicators (KPIs).
  • Represent i-HDS with pride at key stakeholder meetings, effectively promoting our services and mission to champion our brand.
  • Leverage relationships by utilising existing connections to offer comprehensive support services to participants.
  • Maintain key partnerships by nurturing strong relationships with support coordinators, plan managers, local area coordinators, and NDIS planners.
  • Forge strategic alliances by establishing and strengthening partnerships with relevant community organizations.
  • Plan for success by developing and implementing annual business plans, setting clear actions and goals to drive progress.
  • Expand our reach by building and maintaining relationships with service providers, including allied health providers and support coordinators across Melbourne, to ensure participants feel their needs are fully always met with a participant-focused approach.
  • Drive growth by expanding through meaningful interactions with external referral networks, keeping a strong focus on meeting participants' needs.
  • Optimize lead management by ensuring effective lead generation, qualification, and conversion processes, maximizing the efficacy of CRM data.
  • Stay market-savvy by providing valuable insights into market conditions, trends, prospects, and competitor activities.
  • Commit to improvement by embracing continuous enhancement through research, education, and adherence to quality standards.
  • Listen and innovate by gathering feedback from clients and staff to identify and create new business development opportunities.
  • Maintain a participant-centric approach by implementing systems and processes that prioritize the participant in every aspect of service delivery.
  • Strategize for success by developing targeted plans with clear strategies and timelines to achieve your goals.

Key Selection Criteria:

  • Demonstrated experience in a business development and customer relationship management within the NDIS space.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop strong lasting relationships with external stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated knowledge or experience in understanding the needs of participants with lived experience in disability, their families and carers and advocates.
  • Well-developed written and verbal communication skills with the ability to share knowledge and information
  • Well-developed problem-solving skills

A successful applicant must:

  • Be an Australian Citizen, Permanent Resident or hold a valid work permit or visa necessary for the nature of the position.
  • Have or be able to obtain all relevant clearances such a NDIS Screening Clearance, Working with Children Check Clearance etc.
