About Future Fund

At the Future Fund, we're for future minds - like yours. The new investors and creators who thrive on different thinking and doing it together. Those who glimpse opportunity before it strikes and step up every day to grab it.

The Future Fund is Australia's Sovereign Wealth Fund, managing over $310 billion across seven public asset funds with the same purpose: growing Australia's future. We are a global investor and work closely with world leading investment organisations to access the best investment ideas.

Where others see challenges, we see more interesting investment experiences. Every person, every skillset, every mindset is an asset. We've got every future generation to consider, yet our approach to investing is incredibly pure: we think about it deeply, and daily. Ours is a culture where great people grow the future together, with the rare ability to work collaboratively, think freely, and make a real difference.

Are you Futureminded? Let's create what's next.

The Opportunity

Join the Future Fund's Technology Security Assurance Team as a Senior Analyst, Governance Risk & Compliance (GRC). In this pivotal role, you'll support the Agency's cybersecurity governance, risk, and compliance services, working alongside a diverse range of stakeholders across the organisation. You'll play a key part in managing risk registers, providing expert guidance, and ensuring the Agency's technology solutions align with robust security standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Security Assurance & Risk Assessment: Contribute to solution design risk assessments, collaborate with business owners to negotiate appropriate security controls and determine information criticality.
  • Standards, Policies & Procedures: assist in developing and communicating security-related policies, standards, guidelines, and procedures. Promote technology best practices and propose variances to standards when necessary.
  • Consulting & Delivery: provide security consultation to stakeholders, advise on fitting systems to security principles and identify when security components require modification for project delivery.
  • Governance & Oversight: help establish and maintain a fit-for-purpose governance and assurance framework for security activities, deliver reporting on key control and risk indicator to comply with internal and federal government security requirements (e.g., Essential Eight, PSPF).
  • Research & Evaluation: benchmark security practices against industry peers to maintain a current understanding of best practices and emerging threats

About You

  • An Industry certification in information security (e.g., A+, Security+) is preferred and a degree in a relevant technical or business discipline will be considered advantageous.
  • You have had exposure to security risk assessments, on-premises and cloud networking concepts, and threat attack vectors.
  • Experience working at a Federal Government Agency and familiarity with the Australian Cyber Security Centre's Information Security Manual will be highly regarded.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills will be critical for this role as well as effective documentation abilities.
  • You demonstrate personal accountability and independent ownership of outcomes, embrace a growth mindset by being open to feedback and new ideas, build strong stakeholder relationships through effective engagement, and apply analytical, risk-aware problem-solving to synthesise complex information and escalate appropriately when needed.

Please note that this opportunity is only open to Australian Citizens.
