About the role

We are looking for mobile application developers whose primary responsibility is to develop and maintain the MUFG Retirement Solutions client facing mobile apps, including new feature development, configuration management and ongoing software maintenance. In addition, the role will collaborate with delivery teams for other Retirement Solutions' applications and provide guidance on best practice for mobile app development.

In this role you will be responsible and accountable to:

  • Build and maintain the MUFG Retirement Solutions (RS) client-facing mobile applications as a key element of MUFG's digital and member experience product offerings.
  • Champion rapid implementation ways of working and consistent repeatable configuration management processes to achieve efficient and high-quality deployments
  • Drive continuous improvement in DevOps including automation and assisted tools for Dev, Test and deployment
  • Build and maintain high-performance, scalable, user-friendly mobile applications using React Native across Android and iOS
  • Maintain and optimize Azure DevOps CI/CD pipelines for seamless mobile app build and deployment.
  • Utilise the approved development, test and deployment tools within the MUFG RS technology team
  • Integration mobile apps with downstream applications via approved MUFG RS Technology integration patterns and solutions
  • Build for optimal application performance, responsiveness, user experience across different devices and OS
  • Apply the approved MUFG cyber security and solution architecture governance and app store configuration and developer account management
  • Collaborate with colleagues across RS Technology to deliver end-to-end solutions for clients
  • Meet all requirements of MUFG Software Development, security and data privacy guidelines and keep documentation and procedures up to date
  • Work within MUFG RS Technology release guidelines and change management procedures

Experience & Personal Attributes

  • Minimum 8 years' experience of building and managing consumer mobile applications
  • Proficiency in React Native and Javascript
  • Expert in producing high quality code for Mobile (Android and iOS) based applications
  • Experienced in .Net API integration and Cyber Security
  • Proficient in unit and system integration testing across all phases of the development cycle
  • Proficient in clearly and concisely articulating issues and solutions
  • Knowledge of system architecture and technology integration
  • Excellent communication skills and collaboration mindset
  • Able to work in a fast-paced business environment and adapt to evolving priorities.
