Responsibilities

The key responsibilities of the role will include, but is not limited to:

• Supporting the development of project documentation and plans, including: assisting in the development of Business Cases and other Capability-related documents. 
• Shaping, delivering and guiding messaging of key projects to senior Defence stakeholders and industry / Strategic Partners as needed. Building and maintaining relationships with internal and external stakeholders.. 
• Establishing performance measures and providing project support. Analysing and interpreting project performance against agreed plans and developing and evaluating strategies to achieve project outcomes. 
• Providing high level strategic advice for a range of activities considered critical to support the delivery in regards to the operation of the business.  
• Conducting requirements development and analysis. Undertaking objective, systematic analysis and drawing accurate conclusions based on information gathered from the project team, end users, and stakeholders (including dependent projects) on solutions and products that support the successful design, development and delivery of capabilities.   
• Conducting business improvement and business reengineering activities to elicit robust requirements, develop business processes and related artifacts to enable sustainable business improvement.
• Manage testing and change requirements (technical and organisational) related to business improvement outputs.

 Qualifications, Skills and Experience

• Qualifications in business analysis or project management 
• Strong project management skills, including planning, organisation, and coordination.
• Strong business analysis skills, including process reengineering and process improvement
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective client and team engagement.
• Knowledge of industry standards and best practices.
• Proficient in project management and business analysis tools and software.

What We're Looking For 

· Proven experience in project management, Defence support services 

· Understanding of Defence project environments, standards, or frameworks (e.g. ASDEFCON, CASG, PMBoK, PRINCE2) 

· Strong stakeholder engagement and coordination skills 

· Excellent organisational and communication abilities 

· Australian Citizenship (mandatory) 

· Security clearance (NV1, or NV2 preferred)
