Are you a seasoned leader with a passion for driving operational excellence and continuous improvement? Rentokil Pest Control is seeking an Operations Excellence Manager to join our team in Australia. This pivotal role is at the heart of our mission to deliver on our customer promise at the best possible cost. You'll be responsible for the delivery, support, and development of our pest control services across the country, with a strong focus on staff resource management and productivity.
This is a senior leadership role within our organisation and you will be responsible for ensuring our teams are meeting the servicing needs of our customers. This position is perfect for someone with deep operational and technical knowledge who can effectively manage change and positively influence our cultural journey to improve performance. You'll review existing procedures, identify opportunities for improvement, and then develop, trial, and deploy new models after gaining buy-in from key stakeholders.
Key ResponsibilitiesLeadership & Innovation:
- Champion our digital agenda, leading its development and deployment from an operational perspective.
- Provide operational input for infield technology development and work with stakeholders to support ongoing updates.
- Lead the development of our current and future operational leaders and support our branches.
- Source, develop, and contribute to both local and global innovation plans.
Service & Productivity:
- Develop and implement new ways of working for the planning function to improve productivity.
- Systematically analyze opportunities for productivity gains and lead the necessary procedural and cultural changes.
- Review and refine technical training to ensure its quality and effectiveness.
- Support the migration of our training systems to U+ and sponsor reporting development to drive ongoing performance.
- Manage staff resources by understanding the reasons for turnover and developing plans to improve retention.
Training & Compliance:
- Maintain our status as a Registered Training Organisation (RTO) through continuous review of accreditation requirements.
- Ensure all induction programs for operational staff are structured, reviewed, and fully complied with using U+.
- Work with the SHE (Safety, Health & Environment) team to develop, deliver, and maintain Standard Operating Procedures and Safe Work Method Statements.
- Ensure 100% compliance with all company policies and procedures, including those for OH&S and Human Resources, through training and awareness.
Essential Requirements:
- A business qualification (degree or diploma) or relevant experience in delivering scaled business.
- At least 5 years of experience in a business leadership role with profit and loss accountability.
- A proven track record of managing large, remote teams (5+ years of experience).
- Demonstrated ability to problem-solve and deliver effective solutions (5+ years of experience).
- Strong verbal and written communication skills and the ability to influence and build relationships at all organizational levels.
