Exceed Early Learning Centre – Epping, NSW

We are seeking an experienced and passionate Second in Charge (2IC) to join our small, family-owned centre in Epping. With a licensed capacity of 20 children, our team is committed to providing a warm, supportive, and high-quality learning environment.

As the 2IC, you will work closely with the Centre Director to ensure smooth day-to-day operations, compliance with the National Quality Standards, and a supportive environment for our educators and families.

This is a hands-on role — you will be working on the floor with children while also stepping into leadership responsibilities.

Your role will include:

  • Working directly with children, supporting their learning and wellbeing
  • Role-modelling high-quality practice for educators on the floor
  • Assisting the Director with leadership and compliance responsibilities
  • Supporting and mentoring educators to deliver engaging, high-quality programs
  • Building strong, positive relationships with families, children, and the team
  • Ensuring the centre runs smoothly in the Director's absence
  • Helping maintain records, documentation, and compliance requirements

What we're looking for:

  • Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care (or higher)
  • Experience in a senior educator or leadership role
  • Strong understanding of the NQF, EYLF, and compliance requirements
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills
  • A supportive team player with a passion for early childhood education
