**About the role
Permanent full time opportunity to provide advanced-level social work services and clinical leadership to consumers experiencing severe and complex mental health disorders, their carers, and relevant stakeholders. Care is delivered with a focus on planning and provision of advanced clinical care and therapeutic interventions within a recovery and trauma-informed framework.
About you
Our ideal candidate will be someone who can carry out the following key accountabilities in accordance with the Metro North Health's values:
Apply advanced-level clinical knowledge and skill regarding Evidence-Based Practice (EBP) in mental health treatment in the provision of individual and group-based clinical services to consumers experiencing severe and complex mental health issues, in accordance with the Australian Association of Social Workers (AASW) Code of Ethics and professional practice standards.
Apply advanced-level advocacy within the healthcare system by engaging in complex inter-sectoral liaison and partnerships with key agencies and stakeholders. This includes facilitating linkages and communicating complex clinical information to address consumer needs and promote equitable access to services.
Provide clinical leadership and participate in the identification, development, implementation and evaluation of quality, service improvement and/or research activities that enhance the delivery of social work services, procedures and protocols that support the continuum of care, improve consumer care, and contribute to the development of an innovative adult mental health service.
