**About the role

Deliver high quality core social work clinical services as part of the multidisciplinary team to patients of the Women's and Newborns services, Royal Brisbane and Women's Hospital and to their families and carers, so as to optimise the psychosocial outcomes of their utilisation of health care services.

About you

Our ideal candidate will be someone who can carry out the following key accountabilities in accordance with the Metro North Health's values:

Deliver core clinical social work services in accordance with the Australian Association of Social Workers (AASW) Code of Ethics and AASW Professional Practice Standards by assessing psychosocial needs of clients, identifying clinical risk and providing clinical interventions to maximise psychosocial outcomes for clients.

Possess sound knowledge, skills and experience in working with domestic violence, child protection, termination of pregnancy, and grief and loss (particularly pregnancy loss and neonatal death) particularly in relation to psychosocial screening, risk assessment and safety planning in the context of maternity services.

Participate in the development of clinical practices, procedures or protocols within Social Work Services to facilitate optimal health care.

Work cooperatively and effectively with patients, their families/caregivers and external agencies as a member of multidisciplinary team in the hospital setting.
