About the opportunity
Join an Australian Public Service team within a national cancer control context, working across partnerships and equity initiatives to improve outcomes for people affected by cancer. You'll manage a portfolio of research grants/projects and keep stakeholders informed, ensuring delivery against program objectives and guidelines.
What you'll do
- Assess and analyse grant reporting against guidelines and procedures and make sound recommendations under limited guidance.
- Manage correspondence and relationships with grant recipients, research institutions and funding partners.
- Prepare briefs, reports and ministerial/executive correspondence - identify risks and mitigation strategies.
- Work collaboratively to resolve complex issues and keep accurate records in line with APS standards.
About you
- Previous experience in grants (essential).
- Experience in health research or health-related programs (highly desirable).
- Strong analytical skills, clear written and verbal communication and the ability to deliver results in a changing environment.
- Proven stakeholder engagement and a collaborative, solutions-focused approach consistent with APS values.
