APS6 Specialist, Insider Threat and Engagement
We are seeking a motivated and collaborative APS6 professional to join our Insider Threat & Engagement team within the People and Business Solutions branch. In this role, you'll play a critical part in strengthening the agency to prevent, detect and respond to insider threats. You'll work closely with key internal and external stakeholders to support Top Secret-Privileged Access (TS-PA) clearance holders maintain compliance throughout the lifecycle of these clearances.
Who are we looking for
We're looking for dynamic individuals with:
· Experience in the Personnel Security field with comprehensive understanding of the Protective Security Policy Framework (PSPF).
· Demonstrated capability in applying, identifying, assessing and treating a range of personnel security risks.
· Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to engage and influence diverse stakeholders effectively, both in writing and verbally.
· A Diploma in Personnel Security (Vetting), a Cert IV in Government Security or Security Risk Analysis or the ability to obtain a Cert IV.

The key duties of the position include:
· Contribute to the Insider Threat and Engagement team so that it efficiently and effectively meets the needs of internal and external stakeholders.
· Develop and manage AUSTRAC's compliance with TS-PA requirements, working closely with AUSTRAC's Integrity and Personnel Security teams to deliver objectives of AUSTRAC's Insider Threat Program.
· Support external assurance processes in relation to the TS-PA and auditing of processes.
· Undertake agency specific clearance sponsorship suitability checks for AUSTRAC personnel, in line with agency risk tolerance levels.
· Contribute to the development of a positive culture across AUSTRAC, including through outreach campaigns, that recognises and respects TS-PA clearance responsibilities and obligations.
· Provide advice and guidance to the Manager, Insider Threat and Engagement and Personnel Security Adviser on personnel security risks across the agency.
Eligibility
To be eligible for this role you:
· Must be an Australian citizen at the time you apply.
· Will need to undertake AUSTRAC's pre-engagement checks.
·
Will need to obtain and maintain an ongoing minimum Top Secret Positive Vetting Clearance.

· Annual leave of 4 weeks (20 days) per year + additional paid Christmas close down.
