The client is also open to Grid Engineers who are looking for career opportunities to grow into a Grid Connection Manager.

About the role

You will report to the Head of Connections for Australia. You will work closely with project managers, engineers, OEMs, independent consultants, AEMO and the networks. Your work will ensure projects connect on time, within budget and to the highest standards.

Duties

  • Lead and progress generator connection applications with DNSPs, TNSPs and AEMO
  • Negotiate technical, legal and commercial terms of connection agreements
  • Build and manage standard procedures for capacity checks, applications and audits

Skills and experience

  • Strong technical knowledge of Australian networks at both DNSP and TNSP levels
  • Deep knowledge of AEMO requirements and processes
  • Track record in negotiating connection contracts
  • Experience across design, construction, commissioning and operations of PV or BESS
  • Degree in Electrical or Power Engineering or equivalent qualifications with relevant experience
