We are looking for an experienced Electrical Engineer to join our team in a full-time role in Pakenham, Victoria, Australia.

Roles and Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and review electrical systems, schematics, and layouts for industrial automation and control projects.
• Prepare and interpret technical drawings, specifications, and electrical documentation (single-line diagrams, cable schedules, and panel layouts).
• Conduct load calculations, protection coordination, and fault level studies to ensure compliance with Australian standards.
• Assist in the selection of electrical components, control panels, switchboards, and instrumentation equipment.
• Participate in the installation, testing, and commissioning of electrical and control systems at client sites.
• Support PLC, DCS, and SCADA system integration in collaboration with automation and software engineers.
• Ensure electrical designs comply with safety, environmental, and quality requirements under AS/NZS standards.
• Troubleshoot and resolve electrical and instrumentation issues during commissioning and operational phases.
• Prepare detailed reports, test records, and technical documentation for handover and compliance purposes.
• Liaise with clients, vendors, and project teams to ensure timely project delivery and technical accuracy.
• Provide input for project planning, cost estimation, and risk assessments for electrical works.
• Stay updated with emerging technologies in industrial automation, renewable energy systems, and smart manufacturing.

Desirable Skills and Attributes

• Strong understanding of electrical design principles and industrial automation systems.
• Experience with PLC/DCS/SCADA systems (e.g., Siemens, Rockwell, ABB, Schneider, or Yokogawa).
• Familiarity with AutoCAD Electrical or EPLAN software.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently or as part of a collaborative engineering team.

Academic Qualification and Experience Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, Automation, or Control Systems Engineering.
• Minimum 8 years of relevant professional experience in electrical engineering, preferably within the industrial automation, manufacturing, or power sectors.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $90,000.00 – $100,000.00 per year
