ABOUT THE ROLE

We are seeking an experienced Electrical As-built Draftsperson who will provide a crucial role in turning conceptual ideas into detailed technical drawings, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and compliance with project requirements. You will work closely with our design teams producing as-built documentation for underground electrical projects within the Victorian Electrical Distribution Network This role requires participation in design meetings with contribution of technical details where required. You will be proficient in AutoCAD, have strong attention to detail, and possess excellent communication skills.

Experience and Qualifications:

  • Extensive knowledge of and highly proficient in the use of AutoCAD - (AutoCAD Certification preferred).
  • Electrical Underground Drafting Experience would be highly regarded but not required
  • Having a background in Electrical, Survey or Civil drafting would also be highly regarded but not required.
  • Field detailing is desirable but not required.
  • Strong understanding of technical drawing principles, including dimensioning, scaling, and network specific tolerances.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and work within nominated project timeframes
  • Knowledge of industry standards, and regulations.
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to produce accurate and high-quality drawings.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team and collaborate with different departments.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to prioritise tasks and manage time effectively.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with 3D modelling software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit, SolidWorks) is a plus.
  • Familiarity with other CAD software or BIM tools is an advantage.
  • A relevant diploma or degree in Drafting, Engineering, or a related field is advantageous.
