About us:

ATS Building Products is one of Australia's largest suppliers of building materials, timber, and engineered wood products. We are a quickly growing building material supplier in Australia, fulfilling big plans to become a national market leader.

The Role:

The role is a permanent full-time position for a Business Development Manager based at Braeside but on the road. You will be responsible for driving sales while upholding the professionalism that we are known for.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Building strong pipeline of opportunities
  • Hunt for new customers and new business opportunities
  • Prepare quotations as required
  • Follow-up and convert quotes to orders
  • Plan the week ahead in the most efficient way
  • Using consultative approaches to influence major decision makers
  • Travel daily to sites and businesses to prospect new business and win orders
  • Report weekly on pipeline and activities

The successful candidate will have:

  • Timber/Building products BDM, Sales or account management experience.
  • Highly developed prospecting, business development and customer centric skills
  • Proven track record selling to carpenters, builders or form workers
  • Ability to effectively plan and implement sales strategies
  • Self-starter, resourceful and tenacious. Highly skilled at prospecting and converting new customers.
  • Strong business acumen.
  • Well organized with strong planning and execution skills
