We are a well-established commercial construction company delivering significant projects across, with a strong focus on safety, quality, and continuous improvement.

As we continue to grow, we're seeking an experienced HSEQ Manager to lead our Health, Safety, Environment and Quality team and systems across all projects, driving a culture of accountability, compliance and continuous improvement.

The Role

Reporting to senior management, the HSEQ Manager will oversee all aspects of workplace health and safety, environmental management, and quality assurance throughout the project lifecycle assisting to implement the imminent relevant ISO accreditations. You will work closely with project teams, subcontractors, and clients to ensure our expected high standards are maintained across every site.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and support site-based HSEQ teams, providing guidance to the Site Managers and teams on site.
  • Conduct safety audits, risk assessments, and incident investigations; develop corrective and preventive actions.
  • Monitor the delivery of toolbox talks, safety inductions, and ongoing training programs to promote a proactive safety culture.
  • Ensure compliance with statutory requirements and company policies.
  • Drive continual improvement initiatives across safety, environmental and quality performance.
  • Prepare and maintain accurate HSEQ reporting for management and client meetings.

About You

You're a confident, hands-on HSEQ professional who thrives in a busy construction environment and knows how to engage teams at all levels.

To be successful, you will have:

  • Substantial experience in a safety or HSEQ leadership role within commercial construction.
  • Qualifications in Health & Safety.
  • Strong working knowledge of the governing legislation, Codes of Practice and Australian Standards.
  • Demonstrated experience implementing and maintaining integrated management systems.
  • Excellent communication, leadership and influencing skills.
  • Experience with HSE ISO standards and using Hammertech a plus.
