The firm
Madison Partners is a professional services firm providing business services, tax advisory and compliance along with finance and wealth management offerings through associated entities to specialised clientele ranging from high net-worth individuals to large SMEs working across a broad spectrum of industries.
The role
Madison Partners is looking for a Business Services Tax Manager.
Reporting to the Principals/Partners, the role is to assist the firm's tax principals/partners by coordinating the delivery of tax compliance services and assisting with the provision of tax advisory and consulting services to clients.
Basis
The role is a permanent full-time position being 37.5 hours per week commanding a remuneration package of between $95,000 to $125,000 depending upon skills and experience of applicant.
Our office is in east Richmond, close to public transport with free street parking. We may offer potentially offer workplace flexibility for the right candidate.

Prerequisites
Applicants will be tertiary qualified with CPA or CAANZ certification with at least 4 to 5 years' experience in public practice, advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office products and strong communication and interpersonal skills preferred.

Role
Business Services Tax Manager
Reporting to Partners
Objective
The primary objective of the position is to assist the firm's tax principals/partners with the provision of business advisory and taxation services.
Key measures of assessing your performance will initially include a consideration of your assistance to developing the firm's systems and processes relating to provision of tax compliance services, efficiency and effectiveness at discharging tasks appropriate for your level including delegating, assisting and monitoring junior staff, preparation and review of management accounts, financial statements and tax returns for finalization and proactively engaging in learning opportunities and applying these learnings.
Duties
- Creation of engagement budgets and monitoring engagements against budgets and review of work in progress and assisting with billing and collections as required
- Assistance with preparation and review of management accounts and financial statements
- Assistance with preparation and review of income tax returns and other compliance tax returns
- Assistance with provision of general business and tax services delivered by Tax Principals
- Contributing to the design, development and implementation of relevant tax compliance systems and processes
- Administrative duties relating to the key duties and responsibilities
