The Accounting and Advisory Group is looking for an experienced and organised
Accountant
to join our Melbourne CBD based team to provide accounting and taxation services to our small business clients located across Australia.

We are looking for someone who not only likes to work with numbers but also has the ability understand what they mean and be able to communicate this to clients.

An Integral Part Of The Role Includes Working With

  • Clients; in a relationship role, servicing their needs in a professional and efficient manner.
  • Specialist teams; collaborating with bookkeepers, other accountants and support staff.
  • Client Account Managers; directing their work and managing queries in-line with client needs.

Skills And Experience Required

  • Tertiary accounting qualifications, professional membership (CAANZ, CPA, IPA).
  • Good knowledge in small business accounting and tax, preferably with companies and trusts, in a public practice environment.
  • A willingness to learn new skills.
  • Xero and Xero Practice Manager (or other cloud software).
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles and the Australian tax system.
