Bakery Manager in Training

Bakers Delight is Australia's leading bakery franchise, with a vast network of bakeries in many communities across the country. We are currently seeking an experienced Baker who is looking to take the next step in their career. This is a full-time permanent role, working 38 hours per week.

This role is within our Company-Owned Bakery portfolio and is a pathway to Bakery Management or joining our network as a future franchisee.

The ideal candidate has genuine passion for baking, a hunger to learn all aspects of business, and the skills to lead a high performing team.

What you'll be doing…

  • Crafting exceptional experiences, we take pride in delivering delightful products and service to our valued customers.
  • Elevating bakery standards and ensuring a high standard of bakery presentation and cleanliness.
  • Empowering the team through staff management, from recruitment and onboarding, to training and performance.
  • Your expertise in FMCG will contribute to our quality product offerings.
  • Managing the operations of the bakery to maximise sales, profitability and customer satisfaction
  • Maintaining bakery cleanliness to Workplace Health & Safety standards.
  • Control and optimise bakery financial management and performance.
  • Adopt a customer-centric approach, consistently demonstrating initiative in delighting our customers.

The ideal candidate will possess the following:

  • A Certificate III in Retail Baking and relevant on-the-job training such as an apprenticeship.
  • Proven baking experience.
  • Ability to work a rotating roster.
  • Reliable transportation.
  • Excellent communication and time management skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast paced/flexible environment.
  • A passion for baking.
