CONMED is seeking a Business Development Manager - Foot & Ankle to add to our highly talented team in Sydney The ideal candidate CONMED is searching for is motivated, driven, passionate, and has the desire to hustle in the pursuit of excellence.

What you'll do:

  • To develop and implement sales & marketing programs for the Orthopedics portfolio including Sports Medicine, Sports Tissue, Foot & Ankle and Biologics.
  • To manage the marketing efforts for assigned products including initiatives that add value to key relationships and leverages business opportunities.
  • To provide technical support and assistance to the sales team to maximise sales achievement and market penetration.

Product Support

  • Develop and ensure successful achievement of sales & marketing programs for assigned products
  • Ensure products are launched, managed and marketed with excellence.
  • Provide market reports as required and maintain appropriate records of business activities
  • Participate in product launches, conferences, other events and tender processes as required
  • Oversee TGA and other regulatory requirements related to product
  • Undertake local marketing activities, liaise with international marketing teams, provide feedback on local market conditions, maintain sound product knowledge and assess new product opportunities
  • Develop marketing material and tools that enhance product knowledge.

Building Relationships

  • Liaise with sales personnel and undertake local, intrastate and interstate visits to customers to maximize relationship and understand local market forces
  • Develop strong relationships with key opinion leaders, both nationally and internally
  • Develop strong relationships with clients, gain a full understanding of their needs and continuously look at ways to add value and strengthen the relationship
  • Undertake national travel to maximize and develop customer relationships and learn local market forces in conjunction with Regional /State Sales Managers and Sales Representatives objectives.

Sales Support

  • Liaise with Sales teams throughout the sales cycle including quotation requests; assignment of demonstration stock; marketing material and tools that enhance product knowledge
  • Provide assistance to Customer Service by conducting regular in-house training sessions, responding to product related enquiries and maintaining safety stock levels
  • Assist the sales force in converting targeted surgeons to Orthopaedic product lines.
  • Provide expert product support to the sales staff and customers through education and spending time working in hospitals.

Product, Procedure and Competitor Knowledge

  • Maintain expert levels of product knowledge and discuss opportunities for promotional activities with your manager
  • Maintain competitor knowledge, undertake analysis to understand their product offerings, pricing and strategies and take action as required within own program

Training

  • Take responsibility for the continued education and imparting of knowledge to the Regional Managers and Sales Representatives.
  • Take responsibility for the development of market and customer driven training programs.
  • Provide assistance to Customer Service by conducting regular in-house training.

Administration and general duties

  • Day to day correspondence with internal and external customers
  • Other tasks as requested by your manager
