About the role

Job Title:

Salary:

$77,000 p.a. plus superannuation

You'll be working closely with managers and assisting them with....

  • Providing practical financial and tax advice on business structures, planning, and operations
  • Preparing tax returns for individuals, companies, and trusts
  • Working with banks and brokers to help clients set up and manage their funds
  • Implementing and maintaining accounting systems i.e. XERO (and helping clients get the most out of them)
  • Supporting clients with budgeting and internal control processes
  • Preparing financial statements and reports for directors, management, and regulators
  • Advising on complex matters like business purchases and sales, mergers, capital finance, insolvency, and taxation
  • Reviewing operating costs and performance across businesses
  • Providing assurance that financial information is accurate and compliant

 To be successful in the role you'll need

  • Minimum 2 years of Australian tax experience in public practice in a similar position
  • Bachelor's Degree in Commerce/Accounting
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • A collaborative, team-first attitude
  • A solid track record of good time management and attention to detail
  • Coachability
