DHA was established in 1988 following passage of the Defence Housing Australia Act 1987 (DHA Act) to provide adequate and suitable housing for, and housing related services to, members of the Australian Defence Force (ADF) and their families. We remain committed to our purpose of providing housing, and housing related services, to ADF members and their families to support Defence's operational needs.
DHA manages an expanding portfolio of housing solutions and provides housing for over 17,200 ADF members and their families and administers rent allowance for more than 16,000 ADF members and their families in private rental accommodation. DHA provides housing related services advising on eligibility, providing posting support, and managing bookings and allocation services for all DHA provisioned housing and on-base accommodation to approximately 60,000 ADF members.

About your team
The Provisioning Group is responsible for bringing quality properties into the portfolio to meet Defence requirements through leasing and acquisitions.
The Leasing and Acquisitions Team is responsible for the sourcing and delivery of new properties to the portfolio via lease or acquisition, as well as management of all lease agreements including extensions, new contracts and end of lease processes across the national portfolio of properties.
About the role
Defence Housing Australia (DHA) is seeking a highly motivated Business Development Manager with a proven track record of achievement in sales, acquisition and/or leasing to join the Leasing and Acquisitions Team.
Our ideal candidate will have a property related background, with experience in leasing, sales, and/or business development all desirable.
The role will be responsible for a range of activities supporting team achievements and achieving targeted outcomes across multiple geographic regions, identifying and converting new business leads with emphasis on achieving bulk property transactions to add to DHA's portfolio via direct negotiation with stakeholders and integration across industry.
