About the Role

As a day chef you will be responsible for the preparation and cooking of bistro style dishes to a high standard. Following the direction and guidance of the Head Chef to ensure smooth kitchen operations. Maintain food safety, hygiene, and quality standards. Work collaboratively with the kitchen team to deliver excellent service.

We are seeking motivated and passionate individuals who thrive in a remote camp environment. You'll need to be adaptable, reliable, and able to work well in a small team, while delivering exceptional food and service.

  • Proven experience in a professional kitchen, with a passion for preparing high-quality meals
  • Ability to manage kitchen operations during both day and night shifts
  • Strong understanding of food safety and hygiene practices
  • Ability to work efficiently under pressure, maintaining high standards of food quality
  • Professional attitude and commitment to providing exceptional service to camp residents

Location and Details:

Location and Point of Hire: Cabramurra, NSW

Roster: 7 days on-site, 7 days off-site

Shifts: 12-hour shifts

Start Date: August 2025

What You'll Bring:

  • Proven experience in bistro style service environments (preferable but not essential)
  • Knowledge of food safety regulations and Food Safety Training certification (Essential)
  • Current National Police Check (within the last 3 months)
  • Ability to multitask and work independently within a small team
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
