The Pialligo Bakesmith is a cafe / bakery founded in October '23 in Pialligo, ACT. 

Our focus is equally dedicated to well thought out cafe dining and artisan baked goods. 

The Role

We are seeking a qualified pastry chef to enhance and benefit the cafe kitchen. This is a fast paced breakfast, brunch and lunch venue that ramps up on weekends. This is a full time position Friday through to Tuesday.

Qualifications


• Certificate lll Patisserie or equivalent

• A minimum of four years experience in the kitchen.


• Food safety supervisor certification

The candidate must be punctual, reliable, problem solving, cook for love not just employment, hardworking and thorough with food safety and maintaining a clean kitchen.

The candidate will be responsible for

  • Food safety, (current FSS certificate is essential)
  • Assisting with menu development
  • Cost control
  • Training of junior employees
  • Progressing the business through innovation
  • Catering for small function
  • Maintenance of kitchen cleanliness
