About School Infrastructure
School Infrastructure (SI) is delivering new school buildings, major upgrades and maintenance strategies to ensure every school-aged child has access to high quality education facilities at their local public school. This encompasses the largest investment in public education infrastructure in the history of NSW.

About the role
- Provide asset services to a group of schools within the Asset Management region
- Liaise with consultants, contractors and other asset management staff to support the design,
development and construction phases of projects - Delivery of capital works projects and all aspects of facilities management
- Support timely and effective project delivery
- Scope writing, estimation of project costs and manage budgets

About you
- Construction Project Management or Trade experience
- Excellent customer service in dealing with key stakeholders
- Knowledge in scope writing, along with the ability to estimate project costs and manage budgets
- Knowledge of and commitment to implementing the Department's Aboriginal Education Policy and upholding the Department's Partnership Agreement with the NSW AECG and to ensure quality outcomes for Aboriginal people.
Essential requirements of the role
- Current and valid NSW Driver's Licence
- Willingness and ability to travel across the assigned area of Asset Management of Sydney
- Demonstrated understanding of and commitment to the value of public education.

ASOs are often involved in dealing with contentious issues. Please provide details of a contentious issue you have resolved. What was the issue, who were the stakeholders, how did you deal with the issue and what was the outcome.
Targeted Question 2:
ASOs work on multiple projects simultaneously. All work items have completing timelines and differing stakeholder expectations. Please provide details how you would manage multiple projects and other work obligations to ensure all projects are completed within the desired timelines, whilst maintaining stakeholder's expectations.

As a condition of employment, successful candidates who are not currently employed by the department will be required to provide a current Working with Children Check (WWCC) Clearance number. This option would allow the WWCC to naturally expire without further communication needed with the employee. The employer obligations under the WWCC would apply for duration of the WWCC's validity (up to 5 years).
