About The Role Of Events Floor Manager

The Event Floor Manager is a highly skilled professional who is responsible for ensuring that events run smoothly and efficiently. You must have excellent organisational and problem-solving skills, as well as the ability to stay calm and organised in high-pressure situations.

About Our Ideal Future Events Floor Manager

Strong Event Floor Manager experience is desired. To thrive in this role and team you will be able to read an Event Order, think on your feet and adjust a run sheet to the situation at hand. You must have a passion for extravagant events, strong communication, training and leadership skills. The ideal candidate will be ambitious, energetic, punctual with a positive mindset and is capable of multitasking.

Excellent personal presentation and confidence in client communication to ensure the client feels assured under your Management.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for maintaining the daily operational needs to ensure successful service based on each event in accordance with the policies and procedures set by the department.
  • Understanding and maintenance of the facilities in collaboration with the Venue Manager and your colleagues.
  • Ability to identify and rectify challenges in relationship to the facilities that could hinder the execution of service.
  • Maintain communication with the Events Team throughout the event.
  • Open and direct communication with the event coordinator to ensure all aspects of the event are executed.
  • Oversee the setup, service, and breakdown of each event in accordance with the client's needs and the needs of the Venue.

  • Oversee the organization, cleanliness, and service standards as set forth by Navarra.
  • Ensure all guests receive excellent service and hospitality throughout the event.
  • They must also be comfortable working in challenging situations and be willing to take on any tasks that come their way.

Desired Skills And Experience

  • Minimum 3 years' experience within the Hospitality Industry or Customer service. (non-exclusive)
  • Floor, Bar, Cocktails, Barista experience required, and wine knowledge preferred.
  • Roster Management and keeping to budgets.
  • Stocktake and ordering, maintaining GP levels as required and stock par levels, stock rotation.
  • Sound computer skills including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint) and databases.
  • Experience working with teams.
  • Strong organizational and planning skills to coordinate the actions of multiple parties.
  • Ability to problem-solve and manage service in a timely manner.
  • Excellent knowledge of the events market.
