Grade 2 Allied Health Assistant

  • Casual position, weekend and weekday work available.
  • Flexibility to work across City and Royal Park campus.
  • Caseload includes inpatients, outpatients and community therapy services.

The Royal Melbourne Hospital Physiotherapy service is made up of over 130 staff providing services across the City Campus in Parkville and the Royal Park Campus. We have an exciting opportunity for a passionate and dedicated Grade 2 Allied Health Assistant to join our collaborative and supportive Physiotherapy service (with flexibility to provide Allied Health Assistant services across Melbourne Health as required).

Your New Role

  • Provide inpatient and outpatient Physiotherapy and Allied Health support and interventions within identified scope of practice as determined by Allied Health Clinician/s.
  • Develop your skills and knowledge as an Allied Health Assistant.
  • Communicate with a range of people, including patients, families/carers, and staff from other disciplines.
  • Contribute to the operational needs of the department across a 7 day service model

About You

  • You hold an Allied Health Assistant Certificate IV or equivalent.
  • You have strong communication and interpersonal skills, as well as administrative skills.
  • You are adaptable and thrive in a dynamic multidisciplinary team environment.
  • You have a passion for patient centred care and are able to follow instructions and guidance from Physiotherapists and Allied Health clinicians.
  • You hold a current Victorian driver's license and basic swimming capabilities.
