Allied Health Assistant

Fixed Term until 31/07/2026 | Part-Time  | Parkdale (with travel to other sites as needed)

About the role

We're seeking a motivated Allied Health Assistant to join our Allied Health team in Parkdale. In this dynamic role, you'll work closely with Physiotherapists and other Allied Health professionals to deliver therapy programs, group sessions, and individual supports that help clients stay active, independent, and engaged in their community.

You'll be involved in a variety of programs, including:

  • Better Balance, Gentle Exercise, Hydrotherapy, Tai Chi, Strength Training and GLAD (Good Life Arthritis Denmark) groups
  • Supporting individual therapy sessions under professional supervision
  • Assisting across other allied health areas such as Occupational Therapy and Podiatry (including nail care clinics, if trained)

This is a hands-on role where you'll set up and maintain equipment, ensure infection control standards are followed, and help keep programs running smoothly — all while building strong connections with clients and contributing to their health goals.

What you'll bring

  • Certificate IV in Allied Health Assistance (or equivalent)
  • At least 2 years' experience working under the supervision of an Allied Health Professional
  • A genuine passion for helping people live healthier, more independent lives
  • Strong interpersonal, organisational and communication skills
  • Flexibility, adaptability and a team-first approach

Basic nail care training and experience would be highly regarded.
