About the Role

This is a practical, hands-on support role in our fabrication workshop. You'll assist with welding, fabrication, assembly, forklift operation, and general workshop tasks. You'll back up the production team wherever needed to meet build targets and keep things flowing on the floor.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist fabricators with welding, grinding, drilling, and general trailer assembly
  • Support assembly and fit-out work — install axles, wheels, springs, etc.
  • Operate forklift to move materials (if licensed)
  • Prepare materials and complete cutting lists for the team
  • Carry out labouring tasks — lifting, organising, loading, cleaning
  • Operate tools and equipment: grinders, drills, rivet guns, adhesives
  • Help with basic paint prep and general housekeeping
  • Follow job cards, instructions, and workshop procedures
  • Keep your work area safe, clean, and productive

What We're Looking For

  • Hands-on experience in a workshop, manufacturing or trade environment
  • Confident using hand tools, power tools, and workshop equipment
  • Physically fit and willing to pitch in across departments
  • Reliable, consistent, and ready to learn on the job
  • Able to follow directions and keep up with fast-paced work
  • Basic welding/fabrication skills preferred or willing to learn
  • Forklift licence a bonus (not essential)
