Medical Senior Receptionist/Practice Manager

We are seeking a professional, dedicated and experienced senior medical  receptionist for our family practices located in Cockburn

Previous GP medical reception and management experience is essential. Experience with Best Practice software is essential.

Part-time hours are available (to be discussed with the successful candidate). Shifts will include opening and closing the practice which operates Monday - Friday, 8:00 am - 6:00 pm.

Flexibility to cover during periods of annual leave and sick leave is essential including weekends if necessary (but only if other cover cannot be sought).

We are a close knit team working in a supportive and professional environment. The position would suit a mature-minded individual that thrives in providing optimal support and care to doctors and patients alike with the ability to work autonomously.

We are a mixed billing practice so an understanding of Medicare and private billing is essential.

Your key duties and responsibilities will include:

  • Assisting doctors and clinical staff with administration
  • Answering calls and booking appointments
  • Providing exceptional customer service
  • Arriving patients, ensuring paperwork is completed and demographics are up to date
  • Private billing of patients
  • Billing and batching to Medicare
  • Scanning, faxing and post
  • Providing computer and software support to the doctors
  • Opening or closing of the clinic
  • Overseeing the practice to ensure compliance is met
  • Reception rosters
  • Weekly basic practice reporting to management

This role has potential for the right candidate to span management of two or three GP clinics close by.
