*Role Summary*
Our Occupational Therapists strive to make our client's goals a reality. You will work with people within the NDIS framework and support clients to reach for outcomes and pursue their dreams. No one day will be the same. The role takes responsibility for managing a caseload, including correspondence with families and representatives. The role is responsible for providing advice and education regarding lifestyle changes and adaptations to the physical and social environment for the client. There is also a focus on working with other members of the broader allied health team to ensure consistency of support planning.
*Responsibilities and Duties*
- Applying a specialist understanding of the effects and impact of all aspects of a disability on a client's occupations and roles
- Implement and monitor individual plans to enable clients to perform occupations that foster health and well-being in their everyday life
- Working with families and stakeholders to share goals and provide practical advice
- Maintaining accurate, timely, and appropriate records of progress notes, reports, and other relevant documentation
*Skills, Attributes and Experience*
Our ideal candidates will pride themselves on their ability to build and deliver person-centered care that values the choice of the client. They will have the people skills to develop and maintain meaningful, lasting relationships with their clients. Our ideal candidates possess the proven ability to develop therapy programs with their clients. They will also demonstrate a commitment to being a productive and positive member of the broader allied health team focused on ensuring that a multidisciplinary approach is implemented.
As well as the above skills, the Key Requirements include:
- Registration with AHPRA as an Occupational Therapist
- Possess or willing to obtain both an NDIS Worker Screening Check and a Working with Children Check
- A valid driver's license and a reliable vehicle
