Crest Support Services is seeking qualified and experienced disability support workers to work with our client in Banks Canberra. Cleaning required is 4 hours every Thursday but we can offer extra cleaning with other clients if required.

Position Summary

The Disability Support Worker – Cleaner provides essential cleaning and domestic assistance services to NDIS participants and other clients to help them maintain a safe, clean, and healthy living environment. The role combines practical cleaning tasks with a person-centred approach, respecting client preferences, dignity, and independence.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform general cleaning duties in client homes, including dusting, mopping, vacuuming, wiping surfaces, cleaning bathrooms, kitchens, and living areas.
  • Assist clients with domestic chores such as laundry, changing bed linen, and organising household spaces.
  • Follow individual support plans and cleaning schedules tailored to client needs and goals.
  • Use cleaning products and equipment safely, adhering to infection control and WHS procedures.
  • Report any changes in client needs, safety risks, or maintenance issues to the supervisor.
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation of all visits and tasks completed.
  • Uphold confidentiality, respect, and cultural sensitivity in all interactions.
  • Promote client independence by encouraging participation in light household tasks where appropriate.

Job Type: Casual

Pay: $30.00 – $35.00 per hour

Ability to commute/relocate:

  • Banks ACT 2906: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)

Licence/Certification:

  • First Aid Certification (Required)
  • Working with Children Check (Required)
  • NDIS Worker Screening Check (Required)
  • National Police Certificate (Required)
